The official audiobook starring Autumn Ivy as Evelyn, MrCreepypasta as Daniel, and introducing Joey Sourlis as Finn, written by Kel Byron and featuring music by Be/Hold. Enjoy nearly 10 hours of gruesome scares, genuine heart, and immersive SFX that will transport you into that rickety little tower overlooking the village of Pinehaven.
“A Lonely Broadcast: Book One” is the story of Evelyn McKinnon, a radio host returning to her sleepy Appalachian hometown to pick up the pieces of her messy life. But when she begins working at the mysterious “104.6 FM” station, experiencing bizarre supernatural events, memories of why she left in the first place start to resurface. Alongside her optimistic co-host and a jaded police officer, Evelyn slowly begins to realize that the radio waves do a whole lot more than keep the townsfolk entertained. 104.6 FM is a watchtower. And every time the fog rolls in, the beasts of Pinehaven Forest begin their hunt…

It’s easy to spot talentless writers nowadays because they will throw in some gayness and minority empowerment and hope that will get them some awards. This book does not, in any way, have the wit or humour of Tales from the Gas Station. At all.

Same complaint as “bigdaddy333″.

Appreciate the heads up from the other comments.
As a general rule, I no longer listen to books from female authors. This sounded like it would be right up my alley, so I thought I would make an exception to my rule, but just like every time I’ve done that in the past, it turns out to be terrible and/or crammed full of progressive nonsense. I guess all of the female authors know that Audible/Amazon will boost their book to the front page if they shoehorn in an interracial trans couple fighting against the patriarchy.
Oh well.

Thanks, bigdaddy333. While everyone has their own preferences, one thing I could use hearing less about is lesbians. Not my cup of tea at all. If you’re into that, that’s great. But I’m not.
I’m also examining Unstable88’s comment about female authors. I would like to dispute it… but while I’ve read and listened to many amazing stories by female authors… they’re all OLD stories. They all predate Audible and many predate Amazon. Unstable88 may have a point. The most recent female author I enjoyed anything from was Tamsyn Muir and the first two Locked Tomb books. And even THAT had a lesbian element, though it was tastefully done, the setting was amazingly compelling, and I knew what I was getting into going in.
I think I’m going to hold off condemning ALL female authors. But I’m not going to condemn Unstable88’s observations since they match my own, and the kind of garbage he condemns is just that. I prefer my stories to focus on stories, not identity politics propaganda.
Does THIS story focus on story? I don’t know. I just know that I don’t find lesbians interesting in the least and am not in the mood to see if I can put up with them. Tamsyn Muir is an exception, not a rule. This world doesn’t sound as interesting as hers.
