I haven’t heard your narration yet. And Audible is an Amazon company and as a former Amazon employee (PA at RIC9 in Ashland, VA) there are few things in this world I hate to do so much as to give Amazon any money and thereby insinuate that I approve in any way, shape or form of the way myself and many of the assocaites for which I was responsible were treated by that EVIL, VILE, DISGRACEFUL company. Wage theft, sexual harassment and assault, medical discrimination, willfully endangering associates, theft from employees and conspiracy at the regional level to cover it up. And then there were the employees dying in the parking lot, but that may or may not have been Amazon’s fault, as much as I hate to admit there’s something bad they MIGHT not have done. And HR itself was the WORST offender of the lot! So I’m not exactly thrilled at the notion of doing any business with Amazon. For ANY reason. That’s essentially using my money to vote that all the horrible things that I saw or were done to me were OKAY.
But if I hear your narration and like it, I’ll see if I can find somewhere else books you narrate are for sale. After all, I’ve found that sometimes a good narrator can save an otherwise bad story, while a bad narrator can ruin even an amazing one. With audiobooks, the narrator matters nearly as much as the author. Sometimes more.
